Quang Ninh province is expanding its tourism focus to include community tourism, especially in mountainous areas, to diversify its offerings, attract more visitors, increase earnings, and improve local living standards.
British magazine Time Out has ranked Hoi An, an ancient city in the central province of Quang Nam, seventh in its list of the 13 best places to travel in July, according to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism.
The tourism sector served about 8 million tourists during the five-days holiday from April 27 to May 1, up over 14% year on year, the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism has reported.
Vietnam is home to many famous landmarks recognised by UNESCO. Its beauty and cultural diversity are sources of pride for its people, and attract attention and affection from friends and international visitors.
