An item displayed in the exhibition (Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – Hungary’s contemporaryporcelains are being introduced to visitors to the Museum of Fine Art at No. 66Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, Hanoi at a fortnight exhibition that opened onSeptember 25 by the Hungarian Embassy in Hanoi.
The event is part of Hungarian Prime MinisterViktor Orban’s official visit to Vietnam and the culture, sport and tourismcooperation between the two countries.
According to Deputy Minister of Culture, Sportsand Tourism Dang Thi Bich Lien, Vietnam and Hungary have shared long-lastingcooperation with fruitful outcomes, especially in culture, sports and tourism.
She said that the exhibition, which will alsobe held in Ho Chi Minh City from October 16 to November 5, aims to introducethe pottery art of Hungary as well as the people, nation and culture of Hungaryto Vietnamese community.
The event is expected to deepen the friendshipand mutual understanding between the two nations, especially on the occasion ofthe 65th anniversary of the diplomatic ties between the twocountries, she said.
Held in Vietnam for the first time, theexhibition displays 200 pottery products of fork pottery facilities and manyfamous artisans of Hungary, which reflected the philosophy of Hungarian peoplein the 21st century.
Since early 18th century, Hungaryhas run one of the largest European porcelain production factory, the Meissen factory.In the 19th century, many similar factories were opened in otherlocalities such as Herend and Pecs, becoming hubs for talent artists.-VNA
