Hungarian folk dances charm Vietnamese audiences

Duna, one of the most famous and favourite art troupes in Hungary , staged the most outstanding pieces of the country’s folk art such as the dances of Kalotaszeg, Mehkerek, Somogy, Szatmar and Nyirseg regions.

Not only folk dances, the troupe also performed modern dances selected from its country’s rich dance treasure.

With their creativeness and enthusiasm, the Hungarian artists brought their traditional folk art closer to Vietnamese people.

Earlier, the Duna art troupe joined the Hue Festival 2014, which took place in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue from April 12-20.

The biennial festival was a big feast of art and music, with 2,600 artists and performers, including 595 foreign ones.

During the event, 66 art troupes from 37 countries staged 170 performances at 15 venues in Hue city and 10 other sites in the province.-VNA
