The Initiative for ASEAN Integration (IAI) has become a key mechanism in narrowing development gaps among member states, helping the CLMV fully implement the joint commitments and comprehensively participate in the bloc’s integration and community building processes.

The meeting reviewed the implementation of Initiative for ASEAN Integration (IAI) projects and discussed measures to enhance the effectiveness of IAI Work Plan IV (2021–2025).

ASEAN will focus on food and agriculture, trade facilitation, development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMES), education, health and social welfares, to narrow development gaps in the bloc.
