Nicole Faria from India was crowned Miss Earth 2010, after beating 83 other contestants from countries and territories worldwide in the final night on Dec. 4 in Nha Trang city in the central province of Khanh Hoa.
The top 14 finalists were beauties from Ecuador, Thailand, Vietnam, Russia, the United States, Italy, Japan, Czech Republic, India, South Africa, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Holland and Ukraine.
After the swimsuit and evening gown competition, the top seven winners from India, Venezuela, Ecuador, South Africa, Puerto Rico, Thailand and Japan were chosen to enter the question and answer round.
In addition to the title of Miss Earth, Miss Air title (the first runner up) was awarded to Miss Ecuador, Jennifer Stephanie Pazmino while Miss Water and Miss Fire titles went to Watsoporn Wattanakoon from Thailand and Yeidy Bosques from Puerto Rico, respectively.
The Miss Earth pageant is held annually and Vietnam is the second country to host it after the Philippines./.
