Hanoi (VNA) – The annual India light festival, Diwali, will be organised at the Indian Culture Centre in Hanoi on October 27.
Diwali, known as The Festival of Lights, signifies triumph of goodness over evil, light over darkness, the spirit of kindness, and the joy of sharing.
It is an ancient Hindu festival and annually celebrated not only in India but all over the world.
On this occasion, people usually light lamps and candles inside and outside their homes, pray for wealth and prosperity, display fireworks, and exchange gifts.
Cultural activities will be held within the framework of the festival, including Sari wearing, Henna painting, art and dance performances.-VNA
