Hanoi (VNA) – The annual India light festival,Diwali, will be organised at the Indian Culture Centre in Hanoi on October 27.

Diwali, known as The Festival of Lights, signifies triumphof goodness over evil, light over darkness, the spirit of kindness, and the joyof sharing. 

It is an ancient Hindu festival and annually celebrated not only in India butall over the world.

On this occasion, people usually light lamps and candles insideand outside their homes, pray for wealth and prosperity, display fireworks, andexchange gifts. 

Cultural activities will be held within the framework of thefestival, including Sari wearing, Henna painting, art and danceperformances.-VNA
