Jakarta (VNA) - At least four people were injured during a machete attack at a church in Indonesian’s Yogyakarta province on February 11.
The injured included a police officer who tried to subdue the attacker in St Lidwina Bedhog Trihanggo Church, where about 100 churchgoers were present.
The police said the 22-year-old man used the 1-metre machete to destroy some statues and items in the church.
The reason for the attack was not disclosed.
Churches are a common target for Islamic militants in Indonesia.-VNA
