Indonesia, Malaysia speed up border demarcation

The two leaders concurred to appoint heads of the two countries’ delegations to talk about maritime border demarcation from February 24-26.

They pledged to work hard for better protection of immigrant workers and early completion of the standard operating procedure (SOP) criteria in handling fishermen operating in overlapping waters.

The two countries showed high resolve to maximalise bilateral cooperation potential in the fields of education, economics, trade and investment.

President Joko Widodo invited Malaysian investors to build infrastructure such as highways, power plants, railways, and seaports, in his country.

He also invited Malaysian Prime Minister to attend the Asia-Africa Summit slated for April 22-24 in Jakarta and Bandung city.-VNA
