The Indonesian and Singapore Air Forces are conducting a 10-day joint training exercise “Elang Indopura” from November 20 in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
Mataram Air Base Commander Lieutenant Colonel Ridha Hermawan said this is a regular training for both countries aimed to simulate one-on-one jet combat.
The exercise began in Singapore before moving to Indonesia , he added.
It involves 200 airforce crew members from both countries, and features six of Singapore ’s F-5 fighter jets and four of Indonesia ’s Hawk 200 fighter jets.
The two countries will host a fixed display at Lombok International Airport from November 27- 29. Singapore ’s Fokker50 and Indonesia ’s CN235 will be displayed during the three-day fair.-VNA
