The biggest annual fair in Indonesia,which attracted more than 1,300 businesses from as many as 105countries, aims to promote export products of Indonesia as well as theparticipants, opening up chances for domestic and foreign businesses toseek new contracts.
Products showcased at thefair range widely, from foodstuff, beverages, farm produce, garments andtextiles to vehicle components, electronics and construction materials,with the highest proportion being handicrafts, accounting for 22percent, and furniture, 20 percent.
Addressing theopening ceremony, Indonesian Minister of Trade Gita Wirjawan said thetrade show helps affirm his country’s increasing prestige in theinternational trade arena as a dynamic and competitive market.-VNA
