The volcano Mount Sinabung in North Sumatra province, Indonesia erupted again on October 5, spewing up to 3,000 m columns of ash into the air, a spokesman of the country’s disaster management agency said.
So far there have been no reports of injuries or serious damages.
Located in Karo district, the 2,457m volvano has been active since September 2013, after being dormant for more than 400 years. Since then, it has displaced thousands of residents within a 5km radius.
An eruption in February 2014 killed 11 people and injured 3 others.-VNA
