The Thai cabinet has agreed to extend the enforcement of the Internal Security Act (ISA) in seven Bangkok districts for another 30 days after it expires on March 25.
According to the cabinet’s decision made on March 22, the ISA new extension will take effect in Wang Thong Lang, Pathumwan, Ratchathewi, Dusit, Watthana, Pomprop Sattruphai and Phrana Nakhon from March 26 to April 24.
The cabinet’s approval followed the request of the Centre for the Administration of Peace and Order (CAPO) to cope with demostrations of the People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD) and the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD)./.
