HCM City (VNA) — The third VTV International Cycling Tournament– Ton Hoa Sen Cup – was launched on August 15 in Ho Chi Minh City.

The event is being-organised by VTV and the Vietnam Cycling Federation (VCF) tocelebrate the 73rd anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) andNational Day (September 2).
 
During a press conference at the launch ceremony, the organising board said 80cyclists from six domestic cycling teams and six foreign clubs would compete inover 14 stages covering 1,800km.

“This is a big event and an opportunity for domestic and foreign teams toenhance their skills. It is also a chance for Vietnam to highlight its mostbeautiful sites, culture, history and people.”

The race will start on September 2 and run from Hanoi to Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, QuangBinh, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Binh Dinh, Gia Lai, Dak Lak and Binh Phuoc,before finishing in Ho Chi Minh City on September 16.-VNA

Vinh Phuc to host international women's volleyball tournament

The U23 competition will run from June 16 to 22, followed by the U17 event from June 23 to 28, while athletes competing in the U23 category will undergo weight and skill checks ahead of the matches starting June 18, while similar checks for U17 athletes will take place before June 23.
