The Vietnamese U23 football team will compete in the Binh Duong Television (BTV) Cup 2013 that starts on October 25 in southern Binh Duong province.
It is the final challenge for the Vietnamese U-23 footballers prior to the 27 th Southeast Asian Games scheduled for December this year in Myanmar.
Seven other clubs, including four from abroad, namely Bangu Atletico Clube (Brazil), Semen Padang FC (Indonesia), REAC Sportiskola (Hungary) and the Republic of Korea’s students , will take part in the event, Binh Duong Radio-Television Station Director Do Van Trung said at a press briefing on October 22.
The teams will be divided into two groups. After round-robin matches, the teams ranking first and second in the two groups will enter the semi-finals ahead of the final match.
The champion team will receive 450 million VND, second and third places will receive 250 million VND and 100 million VND respectively.-VNA
