Donations of everyday items and cash worth a total of 3.3 billion VND from international sources have come to nearly 6,000 poor households in the Mekong Delta province of An Giang to help them overcome the aftermath of the 2011 floods.

The goods, such as water purification tablets, water tanks, canvas sheets, and water filters, and over 1 billion VND were delivered to the flood victims in January and February this year.
The provincial Red Cross is now compiling the list of poor households who need assistance in repairing their houses.
More donations will be sent to the poor in An Giang in early March to help revive their livelihoods./.
