Volleyball teams from Shanghai , China and the Royal Thai Air Force will join four Vietnamese teams at the International Men’s Open Volleyball Tournament – Arirang Cup 2012 from July 20-27 in Ho Chi Minh City .
According to Mai Ba Hung, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City ’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the tournament will provide a chance for strong domestic teams to hone their skills to prepare for the 2 nd round of the National Volleyball Championships 2012.
Apart from foreign players, the organising board has invited prestigious foreign referees to the tournament.
Teams will compete in a round robin format to select the best four teams for the semifinals and finals.
The event’s champions will receive a prize of more than 160 million VND./.
