The international transport conference and expo, Viet Transport 2010, kicked off at Melia Hotel, Hanoi on October 4, drawing over 30 businesses from ten countries across the world.
The event is being coorganised by IIR Exhibitions Pte Limited and the Business Support and Promotion Centre (SPC).
Addressing the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Transport Truong Tan Vien said the conference focused on urban traffic, multi-modal transport, policies and opportunities for investment in Vietnam ’s transport industry and financial resources for the sector’s development.
The participants will also touch upon the effectiveness of traffic network management in several countries such as Switzerland , India , Thailand and Canada .
The two-day event will also introduce the latest technologies and solutions to transport development, mostly focusing on road, railway, highway, intelligent traffic systems (ITS) and information and communications technologies./.
