The International Women’s Volleyball Tournament - VTV-Eximbank Cup 2013, started in the northern province of Ninh Binh on July 13.
Six teams from the host Vietnam , Thailand , Australia , Kazakhstan and China will compete in a round-robin format to find out four best teams for semi-final matches.
This year, the champion will receive 10,000 USD in prize money. The runner-ups will receive 7,000, 5,000 and 2,000 USD respectively. All prizes are higher than previous tournaments.
The week-long event is coorganised by the Vietnam Volleyball Federation, the Vietnam Television and Ninh Binh province.
In the tournament’s first match, Vietnam lost 2-3 to Jiangsu of China.-VNA
