A two-day workshop themed, “Thousand year history of Hanoi ” was held in the French capital of Paris from November 8-9.
Attending the workshop were scholars, scientists and Vietnam ’s history researchers from many universities in Asia, Europe and the United States .
Through scientific reports, images and historical documentary films on Hanoi, Vietnamese and foreign scientists have highlighted Hanoi’s specific characteristics through time as well as depicted Vietnam’s strength and efforts in fighting foreign invaders.
Professor of Paris University 7 Emmanuel Poisson, an expert in researching Vietnam ’s history from the 15 th – 17 th centuries, said this event was a good opportunity for scholars and scientists to acknowledge and precisely assess Hanoi ’s importance in developing socio-economic, cooperation relations in many areas of life.
