The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the second Japanese Book Week at HCM City Fahasa Bookstore (Source: VNA) The 10-day exhibition is jointly organised byFahasa and the Japanese bookstore group Kinokuniya.
The exhibition displays new and bestselling booksfrom Japanese authors.
Among the books are those for Japanese-languagestudy, children’s books, Japanese culture, literature, novels, economy,fashion, architecture, gardening, and cooking techniques.
There are also Japanese magazines as well as manga- Japanese comics - and books on Japanese animated films for youth, and giftsrelated to characters in well-known Japanese storybooks.
Japanese-language study books and children’s bookson display are from publishers such as Fukuinkan, Kaiseisha and Tokuma-shoten.
Books on literature, fashion, architecture,gardening and cooking techniques are from publishers Bunka-Shuppan,Boutique-sha and Graphic-Sha.
Manga and animated books for children andteenagers are published by Kodansa, Kadokanwa, Shogakukan, and Shucisha.
Over 6,000 manga, including titles Naruto,Fairy Tale, Detective and Ace of Diamond; Detective Conan; Bleach,Pedal Speed; Magi; Vagabond; Kisekoi, One Piece, and Attackin Titan.
The exhibition also includes textbooks forlearning Japanese and dictionaries for Japanese study.
Pham Minh Thuan, CEO of Fahasa, said this year’sbook exhibition was held following the success of the first Japanese bookexhibition and the opening of the Japanese book section at the Fahasa Bookshopin May 2016. — VNS
