Japanese cinema comes to HCM City

The week-long event, jointly presented by the Japanese ConsulateGeneral and the Japanese Foundation Centre for Cultural Exchange, isaimed at strengthening friendship and cultural exchange between the twocountries. It also helps Vietnamese people understand more about theland, people and culture of Japan .

EightJapanese films to be shown in Vietnam include artistic and documentaryfilms such as “Happy Flight”, “Rashomon”, “Tony Takitani”, “KamikazeGirls”, “Sansho the Bailiff”, and several cartoon films like “5centimetres per second”, “Yunagi”, “Yanagi City, Sakura Country” and“Memories of Tomorrow”.

The films will also be screened in the central coastal city of Nha Trang from October 22-24./.

Vietnam to send 498-member delegation to 20th ASIAD in Japan

The delegation comprises top athletes competing in key sports including athletics, shooting, swimming, martial arts (wushu, karate, taekwondo and jujitsu), sepak takraw, rowing, canoeing, football, volleyball, golf, fencing and weightlifting. It will also include officials, doctors and international experts.
