Japanese arts and culture will be in the spotlight at the Fukuoka Fair, which will be held in Hanoi later this month.
Entrance to the three day festival will be free and highlights include a cosplay contest featuring participants dressed as their favourite character from animation series and video games.
Visitors will also get a chance to see a range of performances, including yosakoi and flashmob dance and a performance using voice synthesisers.
Organised by the Asia Youth Culture Centre based in Japan’s Fukuoka Prefecture , this festival will also spotlight Japanese calligraphy, the Shamisen (Japanese three stringed musical instrument), Japanese tea culture and traditional games.
The fair, one of the events to celebrate 40 years of diplomatic relation between Vietnam and Japan, will be held at the Deawoo hotel from August 19 to 31.-VNA
