June’s CPI grows at highest pace over past 7 years
CPI in June 2018 rose by 0.61 percent against the previous month. Ten out of 11 groups of goods and services saw price hikes. This is the highest CPI rise in June over the past 7 years.
Vietnam’s consumer price index (CPI) inched up 0.55 percent in May, the highest monthly increase since 2012, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).
Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue has urged the Government’s Steering Committee for Price Management to seek measures in order to minimize external impacts on domestic prices, thus keeping CPI growth below 4 percent in 2018.
