A 30 MW bagasse-fired thermal power plant is being constructed in the central province of Khanh Hoa as part of a renewable energy project to cope with environmental pollution.
The plant will use bagasse - the fibre that remains after a sugarcane has its juice extracted - from the Ninh Hoa Sugar Joint Stock Company’s manufacturing plant to generate electricity.
Once completed and put into operation, it is expected to help reduce environmental pollution along with increasing the company’s profits and income for its employees.
The plant is being built in Ninh Hoa town and scheduled to come into operation by the end of 2014.-VNA
