Khanh Hoa builds bagasse-fired power plant

A 30 MW bagasse-fired thermal power plant is being constructed in the central province of Khanh Hoa as part of a renewable energy project to cope with environmental pollution.
A 30 MW bagasse-fired thermal power plant is being constructed inthe central province of Khanh Hoa as part of a renewable energy projectto cope with environmental pollution.

The plantwill use bagasse - the fibre that remains after a sugarcane has itsjuice extracted - from the Ninh Hoa Sugar Joint Stock Company’smanufacturing plant to generate electricity.

Once completed and put into operation, it is expected to help reduceenvironmental pollution along with increasing the company’s profits andincome for its employees.

The plant is being built in Ninh Hoa town and scheduled to come into operation by the end of 2014.-VNA
