Korean football body to air matches to pamper Vietnamese fans

The Korea Football Association (KFA) has said it will offer online streaming services for more matches participated by Incheon United FC within the current K-League 1 season to meet high demand from Vietnamese fans.

Hanoi (VNA) - The Korea Football Association (KFA)has said it will offer online streaming services for more matches participatedby Incheon United FC within the current K-League 1 season to meet high demandfrom Vietnamese fans.

According to the announcement, the match between IncheonUnited FC, where Vietnamese star Nguyen Cong Phuong is serving, and GyeongnamFC scheduled for March 9 can be watched online on the KFA official website.

Since May 2018, every week a K-league match is selected tobe broadcast on the site under a service named Worldwide Live. However, thisseason will see a larger number of matches involving Incheon United FC.

According to Sports Seoul magazine, the new player has drawnmore Korean and Vietnamese football fans to the K-league 2019. The FacebookPage of Incheon United FC has so far received over 20,000 more follows fromVietnamese, with posts related to Cong Phuong attracting lots of attention.

The club’ made-for-fan jerseys, which bear the number 23 of the24-year-old striker, are very close to be sold out.-VNA
