Twenty-five professional troupes are taking part in the 2nd Kylin-Dragon Dance Festival at Văn Lang Park in HCM City’s District 5. Especially, 108 kylin dance performing at the opening of the event on December 28 set the Guinness Vietnam record.
Twenty-five professional troupes from the city and neighbouring provinces will put up more than 30 performances during the festival.
The spotlight of the festival is the Guinness Vietnam Record of 108 kylin dance.
The troupes will also display kylin heads and other items used in kylin and dragon dances.
Members of dragon and kylin dance teams will meet and discuss their performing techniques.
Traditional medicine practitioners will introduce to visitors popular medicines used to treat common diseases.
The festival from December 28 to 30 is part of the city’s efforts to promote itself as an attractive, friendly and safe tourist destination.-VNA
