The railway will span approximately 419 kilometres, starting from the border rail link in Lao Cai and ending at Lach Huyen Station in Hai Phong. The project’s total investment exceeds 203 trillion VND (7.69 billion USD).
Regarding the North-South high-speed railway, Prime Minister Chinh reiterated that under Resolution No. 106/NQ-CP, the Government has approved the overall implementation plan, ensuring construction starts no later than December 2026.
The Lao Cai – Hanoi – Hai Phong railway project is projected to require around 2,632 hectares of land and will be funded through public investment, with a total estimated cost of 203.23 trillion VND (approximately 8.37 billion USD).
