The Lao National Assembly concluded its 7th session on July 25 after 15 days of sitting.
Addressing the concluding meeting, National Assembly Chairwoman Pany Yathotou said the session adopted the Government’s report on the implementation of socio-economic development and state budget as well as the key tasks for the final period of the 2013-2014 fiscal year. The NA also approved a plan on 2013-2014 state budget adjustment and orientations for 2014-2015.
Four laws have been passed at the session, together with a report of the Supreme People’s Procuracy on its work in 2013-2014 and directions for 2014-2015, and a report on the outcomes of the National Assembly’s operation in 2013-2014.
Also at this session, NA deputies approved the Prime Minister’s proposal on the transfer and appointment of some key officials.-VNA
