Laos allows COVID-19 patients with mild symptoms to treat at home

The Lao Health Ministry has allowed COVID-19 patients with mild symptoms to self-isolate and treat at home, as part of efforts to ease overload in medical establishments and reserve beds for serious cases.

Vientiane (VNA) – The Lao Health Ministry has allowed COVID-19 patients with mild symptoms to self-isolate and treat at home, as part of efforts to ease overload in medical establishments and reserve beds for serious cases.

On November 13, the ministry reported 1,032 new infection cases and two deaths in the past 24 hours, including 1,018 in the community. Vientiane still recorded the highest number of infections with 409 community cases.

So far, Laos has logged 53,207 COVID-19 cases, including 96 fatalities./.
