Ziapauheu, who isalso Lao Minister of Justice, made the statement in an interview granted to theVietnam News Agency reporter on March 16 ahead of the country’s hosting of the5th Asia-Pacific Regional Conference of Solidarity with Cuba from March 19-20.

Despite the geographic distance, the Lao Party, government and peoplealways enjoy the wholehearted supports of their Cuban counterparts in manyfields, ranging from healthcare to human resource training, Ziapauheu said.

Laos’s decision to host the event is a manifestation of the strongfriendship and solidarity between the two nations, the President added./.
