The entire Lao Party and people are actively making preparations for the upcoming 7 th National Assembly (NA) election on April 30.
So far, all-level election sub-committees have been set up and staff and necessary equipment are ready.
This year, Lao voters will choose 132 deputies out of 190 candidates for the 7 th NA.
Under Lao law, any Lao citizen at the age of eighteen and above, irrespective of gender, group, religion and social status, is eligible for voting rights and any citizen of the age of twenty one and over is eligible to be nominated as a NA deputy.
