Four well-known violinists - Tang Thanh Nam, Nguyen Truc Thuyen, Le Minh Hien, and Vu Viet Chuong - will perform at a Vivaldi Concert held on May 29 in Ho Chi Minh City.
The violinists will play with the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera under the US conductor Clay Couturiaux.
The concert will feature the four concertos for violin taken from Antonio Vivaldi’s best known work “The Four Seasons”.
The show will also include Vivaldi’s original concerto “Grosso Mogul”, written to reflect the Indian nation.
Born in Italy in 1678, Vivaldi is recognised as one of the greatest Baroque composers. He wrote about 500 instrumental concertos for the violin and a variety of other instruments, in addition to around 90 sonatas and 46 operas and choral works.-VNA
