Legal action launched against former official of PCC's Commission for Internal Affairs

A probe has been launched into the case of “appropriating state secret documents” that happened in Hanoi and some other localities, along with Nguyen Van Yen, former Vice Chairman of the Party Central Committee (PCC)’s Commission for Internal Affairs, for his alleged involvement in this case.

Hanoi (VNA) – A probe has been launched into the case of “appropriating state secret documents” that happened in Hanoi and some other localities, along with Nguyen Van Yen, former Vice Chairman of the Party Central Committee (PCC)’s Commission for Internal Affairs, for his alleged involvement in this case.

Yen, born in 1966 and residing in Hanoi’s Tay Ho district, was also put into temporary detention for the charge of “appropriating state secret documents”, stipulated in Article 337 of the Penal Code, and had his house searched by police, the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) said on June 25.

The moves were made following the approval of the Supreme People’s Procuracy.

The MPS’s Investigation Security Agency is conducting the probe to deal with the case in line with law./.
