Domestic exporters and foreign importers are shaking hands at a major event in Ho Chi Minh City to make profits from fine art articles, wooden furniture and gifts.
The international trade fair, named Lifestyle Vietnam , kicking off on April 18, draws almost 1,500 importers from 28 foreign markets, including some 320 international firms with annual turnover exceeding 100 million USD.
Foreign businesses will have the chance to view firsthand local products on display in over 700 pavilions at the four-day event, organisers from the Vietnam Crafts Exporters Association (Vietcraft) and the Trade Promotion Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade said.
Vietcraft President Do Nhu Dinh said exhibits include fine art articles, handicrafts, household utensils, wickerwork and manually woven products.
Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Ho Thi Kim Thoa said fine art articles and handicrafts are among Vietnam’s major hard currency earners and the sector is expected to boost its international credentials through this opportunity./.
