The Thai Son Nam futsal club is representing Vietnam in the qualifying round of the Asian Futsal Cup being held in Malaysia.
The event, lasting until April 16, has attracted seven teams divided into two groups. The four best teams will go through to the semi-final.
The top three qualifiers will then attend the final round in Japan.
Defending champions Giti Pasand (Iran), second placed Ardus (Uzbekistan) and runners up Nagoya Oceans (Japan) are all expected to appear in this year’s final.
Thai Son Nam club is listed in group B to compete against Penlindo FC (Indonesia) and Dural Warriors AF (Australia).
They play Dural Warriors AF (Australia) in the opening match on April 11.-VNA
