Kuala Lumpur (VNA) – Malaysian Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin has recently announced that the Government is considering allowing companies to resume operations if all workers are fully vaccinated.

As part of the plan to allow companies to resume operations, the Ministry of International Trade and Industry recently started the Public-Private Partnership Covid-19 Industry Immunisation Programme (PIKAS).

PIKAS works as an incentive for companies and industries to allow the use of their premises as Vaccination Centres (PPV) as an immunisation programme for employees.

Muhyiddin Yassin said that 150 million RM (36 million USD) has been allocated for the implementation of PIKAS and to alleviate companies’ costs.

He said the government will supply the vaccines, while the company or factory will arrange for the equipment./.
