Kuala Lumpur (VNA) – The host Malaysia on August 16 won its first gold medal in “chinlone linking” or caneball, which was also the first gold of the 29th Southeast Asia Games (SEA Games 29).

This year, the caneball competition was participated by three nations, with Malaysia and the Philippines competing for the first place, and Brunei obtaining the bronze medal.

Requiring skills to balance the “takraw”, the sport is played by six players in a team in a circle.
