A team of leading surgeons from Hue’s Central Hospital demonstrated techniques used in endoscopic surgery to a group of visiting Malaysian doctors from October 1-3.
During the three-day course, the Malaysian doctors learnt the basic theories and practices behind endoscopic surgery.
Previously, from September 17-21, a group of doctors from the Philippines also attended an official training programme on the techniques at the hospital.
According to Deputy Director Pham Nhu Hiep, the hospital has enhanced its reputation and standing in the field of endoscopic surgery, especially in colorectal endoscopy.
The Central Hospital in Hue is the first in Vietnam to have successfully applied this way of treating colorectal cancer and has become extremely skilled in this specialism.-VNA
