Hoa Binh (VNA) – Maps, documents and publications on the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos are on display at Tan Lac district’s culture house in the northern mountainous province of Hoa Binh.

Organising the exhibition entitled “Vietnam’s Hoang Sa and Truong Sa: Historical and legal evidence” in Tan Lac district allowed locals and students in the ancient land of Muong Bi to approach precious materials on the two archipelagos for the first time.

Exhibits include nearly 100 maps, documents, objects and publications dating between 17th to 20th centuries collected from researchers, local and international scholars.

The exhibition also features some images of Hoa Binh province’s officials and people with Truong Sa.

Maps and materials on display at the exhibition are part of historical evidence and legal grounds proving Vietnam’s sovereignty over these islands, and reflect the country’s administrative management, as well as its exercise and protection of sovereignty over the archipelagos.

The exhibition runs until May 13.-VNA
