Under the Directive 08/CT-TTg dated March 13, 2018, the time limit for grantingconstruction permits and related procedures should be cut down to 120 days from166 days. This includes reductions in a series of procedures in the process.
The procedures to appraise construction designs, technical designs andto grant construction permits will be reduced to no longer than 63 days, 19days fewer than the figure evaluated by the World Bank in 2017.
The time limit for the appraisal of fire and explosion prevention andfighting measures will be reduced to 20 days, a reduction of 10 days.
Meanwhile, the time limit to handle procedures to supply electricity andwater and connect water drainage systems will be 7 days instead of 14 days aspreviously.
The procedures to handle the registration of land and property on land,to grant approval for land use, homeownership and ownership of property on land are also asked to be cut by 10 days tono more than 20 days.
The PM requested that ministries, sectors and localities to enhance theuse of IT, improve the efficiency of the single-window mechanism and promotethe use of online public services.
State agencies involved in the process were also asked to increasecooperation to simultaneously carry out related administrative procedures tospeed up the process.
The Ministry of Construction is responsible for monitoring the implementationof the PM’s directive and reporting to the PM if problems arise.-VNA
