The Metro Line 1 (Ben Thanh–Suoi Tien) in Ho Chi Minh City witnessed a remarkable turnout of approximately 150,000 passengers on its first day of operation on December 22.
Metro line 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien) is more than just an urban transit project; it represents Ho Chi Minh City's vision for growth, integration, and sustainable development. As a key milestone in the city's public transportation plan, it addresses the need for fast, efficient travel while helping to ease traffic congestion and reduce environmental pollution.
Passengers of Metro Line 1 (Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien) in Ho Chi Minh City will enjoy free travel during the first 30 days of its commercial operation.
The Metro Line 1 (Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien) in Ho Chi Minh City will start trial run from December 9-21, and then begin commercial operation from December 22, according to the Ho Chi Minh City’s Management Authority for Urban Railways.
According to HCM City’s Management Authority for Urban Railways (MAUR), 98% of the workload on the project has been completed.
