Anagreement to this effect was signed by representatives of the VietnameseMinistry of Education and Training (MoET) and the Microsoft Vietnamoffice in Hanoi on November 19.
Under the agreement,Vietnamese schools will have access to licensed Microsoft Office 365software free of charge as well as the Shape the Future programme tomake it easier for their teaching and studying programmes.
Since the first memorandum of understanding (MoU) on IT cooperation withMicrosoft was inked during the visit to the US by then Prime MinisterPhan Van Khai in 2005 and renewed, 65,000 teachers and 2.1 millionstudents at 5,150 schools across Vietnam have benefited from thisprogramme.-VNA
