Nine Vietnamese martial artists will compete at the World Muay Thai Championships in Ayuthaya, Thailand, from March 18.
Chief coach Giap Trung Thang said the third Asian Indoor Games gold medallist, Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat from HCM City, will be competing in the men's 57kg category, while Southeast Asian Games silver medallist Phan Thi Ngoc Linh of HCM City will take part in the women's 54kg division.
At the same event in Bangkok last March, Vienamese boxers surprised the world by winning three golds and one bronze medal. They finished third out of 45 teams./.
