Hanoi (VNA) – The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee has established two policy monitoring groups.

Of the two groups, one will examine policy implementation and law enforcement regarding the national target programme on sustainable poverty reduction in mountainous and ethnic-populated areas for 2012-2018.

Chairman of the Council for Ethnic Affairs Ha Ngoc Chien was appointed head of the group, with his deputies Nguyen Thuy Anh, Chairwoman of the Social Affairs Committee, and Nguyen Lam Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Council for Ethnic Affairs.

The second group focuses on policy implementation and law enforcement in the management and use of State funds apart from the national budget for 2013-2018.

It will be headed up by Chairman of the Financial and Budget Committee Nguyen Duc Hai. The two deputy heads of the group are Vice Chairman of the Financial and Budget Committee Nguyen Huu Quang and Vice Chairman of the Economic Committee Duong Quoc Anh.

The groups are tasked with implementing their monitoring plans and reporting the outcomes to the NA Standing Committee at its session in August and September 2019.-VNA
