Five Vietnamese athletes will take part in the 2010 World Muay Thai Championships that will be held in Bangkok from March 19-26.
They include Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat (men’s U57kg category) who won a gold medal at the 3 rd Asian Indoor Games and a silver at the 25 th SEA Games; Le Huu Phuc (men’s U51kg category), who secured a bronze medal at the 1 st Asian Martial Arts Festival in 2009; Vo Van Dai (men’s U60 kg category), who clinched a bronze medal at the 1 st Asian Martial Arts Festival; and the 1st Asian Martial Arts Festival bronze medalist Phan Thi Ngoc Linh (women’s U57kg category).
Nhat is the only Vietnamese representative to have competed at the World Muay Festival.
According to coach Giap Trung Thang the five best artists convened for training a month ago and were performing well./.
