
Hanoi (VNA) – As many as597 cyber attacks were launched on Vietnam’s websites in November 2017, accordingto the Vietnam Computer Emergency Response Team (VNCERT).
Of the number, there were 248 phishingattacks, 232 cases of defacing and 117 cases of malware attacks.
According to software companies,63.19 percent of computers in Vietnam are affected by harmful software, whilethe figure is 21.61 percent for mobile devices.
Deputy Director of the VNCERT NguyenKhac Lich said no websites of State agencies with the domain name “gov.vn” wereattacked in the period. The team has also warned all agencies whose websiteswere attacked amid increasing cyber attacks.
The Authority of Information Securitywill submit a draft guidance for implementing the law on export and import ofinformation security products to the Ministry of Information andCommunications.
It has also completed a draft PrimeMinister directive on prevention of malicious software in Vietnam and devisedplans to hold cyber security drills with other ministries.-VNA
