Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister of Nepal K P Sharma Oli talked about Nepali people’s sentiments towards President Ho Chi Minh and Vietnamese people while visiting the Hanoi-based Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics on May 10.
He said President Ho Chi Minh was respected in Nepal, adding that many songs and poems have been composed in the country in memory of the late Vietnamese leader.
Vietnam’s revolution under the leadership of President Ho Chi Minh was a great source of inspiration for socialist, patriotic and democratic movements in Nepal, the PM noted.
PM Sharma Oli said the late President’s vision and ideology has motivated him to continue struggling for democratic rights of the Nepali people.
The PM noted his hope to learn from Vietnam’s experience in socio-economic development, and that cooperation between the two countries will further develop, especially in economy, culture and tourism.
He took the occasion to call on more Vietnamese investors to explore business opportunities in Nepal.
The increased exchanges between Vietnam and Nepal will help elevate the bilateral relationship to a new height for the sake of the two countries’ people, he added.
PM Sharma Oli is paying an official visit to Vietnam from May 9-13, during which he will attend the UN Day of Vesak 2019.-VNA
