Hanoi (VNA) – The Hanoi Transport Corporation (Transerco), the major bus service operator in Hanoi, has been given the green light to open a high-class bus service running from the Hanoi Railway Station in downtown to the Noi Bai International Airport.
The new route, which is scheduled to open on April 30, will have eight stops beginning from the Hanoi Railway Station and runs through streets of Tran Hung Dao, Da Tuong, Ly Thuong Kiet, Hang Bai, Bo Ho, Tran Nguyen Han, Tran Quang Khai, Long Bien bus station, Yen Phu, Nghi Tam, Au Co, Nhat Tan Bridge, Vo Nguyen Giap and Noi Bai’s Terminal T1, Vo Nguyen Giap and ends at Terminal T2.
The return route will begin at Terminal T2 and run through Terminal T1, Vo Nguyen Giap, Nhat Tan Bridge, Au Co, Nghi Tam, Yen Phu, Long Bien Bus Station, Tran Nhat Duat, Tran Quang Khai, Trang Tien, Le Thanh Tong, Hai Ba Trung, Ngo Quyen, Ly Thuong Kiet, Le Duan and the Hanoi Station.
The bus will stop for two minutes at each stop to give passengers enough time to load their luggage.
The day’s first bus to the airport will leave the Hanoi Station at 5:10 AM and the last at 22:30 PM, while in the opposite direction, the first bus will depart from the Noi Bai Airport at 6:30 PM and the last one at 23:30 PM.
Ticket is priced at 30,000 VND (1.3 USD) one way and each trip will take from 50-55 minutes.
Besides Transerco’ bus service, other transport companies are proposing bus routes from Hoang Cau Lake and Nuoc Ngam Coach Station to the Noi Bai Airport.-VNA
Hanoi to expand bus network in rural areas
Several new bus routes connecting downtown Hanoi with suburban districts will be put into operation between now and 2020, according to Nguyen Phi Thuong, head of the Hanoi Transportation Service JSC.
