New e-government platform introduced

The Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) has introduced the Flex Digital platform, a comprehensive solution to develop e-government in all fields on the basis of its components facilitating important activities such as online public services, online single window systems of ministries, sectors and localities, and digital data management and sharing.

Hanoi(VNA) – The Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) has introduced theFlex Digital platform, a comprehensive solution to develop e-government in allfields on the basis of its components facilitating important activities such asonline public services, online single window systems of ministries, sectors andlocalities, and digital data management and sharing.

Launched on December4, the platform is part of the “Make in Vietnam” platforms developed under the programme on National Digital Transformation to 2025 with a vision to 2030.

Built on thefoundation of open technology, the platform supports agencies and localities tospeed up the completion of solutions and products meeting the developmentdemands of e-government in Vietnam, while helping reduce cost.

Addressing thelaunching ceremony, MIC Minister Nguyen Manh Hung said that during the buildingof e-government, Vietnam will develop and own digital technology basing onopen standards, with “Make in Vietnam” not only a technology strategy but also a plan ofaction.

Components of theplatform have been applied effectively in 11 sectors and ministries, fiveprovinces and two international organizations. In the future, Flex Digital willcontinue to be completed and used to build more software serving the digitalizationin ministries, sectors and localities across the country./.

Network of overseas Vietnamese nuclear energy experts makes debut

The network currently brings together nearly 100 scientists and experts working at key institutions in this sector such as the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), EDF, Framatome, ANDRA, CEA, and many other leading organisations. They have directly participated in the design and construction of numerous EPR nuclear power plants, including Olkiluoto 3 (Finland), Flamanville 3 (France), and Taishan 1&2 (China).
