The projects include the building of eco-tourism sites namely the KheKem Waterfall resort worth 63 million USD, the Quyet Mountain-ThuyHarbour resort capitalised at 25 million USD and the Sao Va Waterfallresort costing 10 million USD.

In addition, the province is calling on investors to build trade and sport centres, and theme parks to cater for tourists.

Nghe An has reportedly pledged to offer many incentives for investorsincluding low land-lease prices and support in site-clearance andinfrastructure building./.

Vietnam's tourism sector faces labour shortage

A 2026 survey by Hoteljob.vn found that nearly 90% of tourism businesses planned to recruit. In Ho Chi Minh City alone, 89.7% of businesses were hiring, while 71.8% said recruitment was difficult or very difficult. The biggest shortages were among frontline workers, particularly in housekeeping, engineering, food service, front-office operations, and kitchens.
